Samrach Film Production created a warm, family-focused TV commercial for Health 1st’s new Orange Flavor Cod Liver Oil, highlighting its role in supporting children’s immunity and energy during the busy back-to-school season. Set in a cozy home, the commercial follows a relatable morning routine — parents packing school bags while the children eagerly prepare for their day. Before they rush out, their father calls them over and lovingly encourages them to take their daily spoon of the new orange-flavored supplement, rich in vitamin C and essential nutrients.

Project Objectives

The goal of the campaign was to introduce the new orange-flavored variant of Health 1st Cod Liver Oil as a child-friendly, daily immune booster. The commercial needed to speak directly to Ethiopian parents by building trust, showing ease of use, and emphasizing the supplement’s benefits in helping children stay strong, healthy, and focused — especially during school season.

Our team managed the full creative pipeline, from scripting and casting to location setup, direction, and post-production. The creative strategy was to deliver the message through a lighthearted, everyday family moment that resonates with a wide audience. The product was integrated naturally into the narrative — not as a pitch, but as part of a loving parent’s care routine.

Design & Production

Filmed in a warm, natural-light home setting, the production centered on authentic interactions between children and their parents. Our cinematography focused on expressions, energy, and movement — capturing the joy of the morning rush and the gentle discipline of health-conscious parenting. The orange-colored supplement was highlighted visually to reinforce freshness and flavor.

Post-Production

The commercial was edited to balance warmth and clarity. A gentle music bed supported the mood, while the father’s voice and the children’s reactions were carefully mixed to feel genuine and heartfelt. A brief animated product feature highlighted vitamin C, immune support, and child-friendly taste, reinforcing Health 1st’s commitment to everyday family wellness.

Distribution & Promotion

The spot was released on television and social media platforms, targeting parents through family-friendly programming blocks and health-focused online channels. It was also promoted in pharmacies and pediatric clinics with printed visuals from the same shoot for point-of-sale reinforcement.

Lessons Learned

This project confirmed that simplicity and relatability are powerful tools in health product marketing. By rooting the message in family care rather than hard-sell tactics, we created a spot that resonates emotionally while clearly communicating product value. The commercial also demonstrated the importance of flavor innovation and parent-focused messaging in growing health brands within local markets.
