CUSO International - U-Girls 2 Project - Showcase

U-GIRLS 2 is a transformative initiative by Cuso International, funded by the Government of Canada and implemented in partnership with the Institute of International Education (IIE). The project supports girls in Ethiopia’s Benishangul-Gumuz region to overcome social and economic barriers, access education, and gain critical life skills. U-GIRLS 2 helps girls like Dagimawit build confidence, achieve academic success, and inspire change in their communities. Through the U-GIRLS 2 Project, supported by the Government of Canada and implemented by Cuso Internationalin partnership with the Institute of International Education (IIE), girls and parents in Ethiopia’s Benishangul-Gumuz region are turning challenges into opportunities— launching small businesses, building financial independence, and securing brighter futures for their families. Cuso International is a development organization that works globally to advance gender equality, economic resilience, and social inclusion—particularly for marginalized groups.
